WPP Scangroup has announced the resignation of Bharat Thakrar as CEO and board member.
This comes after Scangroup Plc Board suspended CEO Thakrar and CFO Satyabrata Das over allegations of gross misconduct.
In a letter dated 23rd of March 2021, the company announced that it was actively recruiting a new CEO.
"Further to the cautionary announcement made by the company dated 18th February 2021 regarding the suspension of the company's chief executive officer, Mr. Bharat Thakrar, and the chief financial officer, Mr. Satyabarat Das, the company announces that the chief executive officer, Mr. Bharat Thakrar, has tendered his resignation as CEO and board member, which the board has accepted," part of the statement read.
The company added that investigations into the gross misconduct of the two would continue.
