Google has called for interested Kenyans to make applications to join the 7th cohort of Google for Startups Accelerator Africa Program.

Startups that have participated in the program in the past have so far been able to raise Ksh13billion ($117 million) in funding since its inception in 2017.

Those who qualify will get to enjoy the best of Google's technology, programs and even interact with people while using Artificial Intelligence and machine learning for business operations.

"Today, we announced that applications for the Google for Startups Accelerator Africa! Learn more and submit your application by January 14, 2022, here," Google stated.

The technology firm indicated that the program is a three-month accelerator for Seed to Series A technology for the startups in Kenya and other  16 countries across the continents.

They include Algeria, Botswana, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Morocco, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.

In the stipulated duration, selected Kenyans will get to do deep dives and workshops focused on product design, customer acquisition and leadership development for founders, specialized training, media opportunities, and access to Google's network of engineers and experts.

A mandatory requirement is to have the Chief Executive Officer and Chief technology officer in attendance. A third team member can join the two on an optional basis.

Interested applicants must fill the online forms by submitting their entry at the Google for startups official site.
