The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has announced its annual mass internship program for fresh Kenyan graduates looking to grow career-wise.

The authority made the announcement on Wednesday, November 10, stating that it was looking for applications from a pool of young graduates -Bachelor's Degree and Diploma- to join their program.

The Government’s Youth Initiative program seeks to help grow the youth's talents in enriching the Kenyan labor workforce.

"Internship & Industrial Attachment opportunities for 2021," KRA announced.

Additionally, Law degree holders undertaking the Advocates Training program (Pupils) at the Kenya School of Law are encouraged to apply.

The internship program will run from January 2022 until December 2022 as they get on-job experience and increase their employability.

"The program aims at providing the Youth an opportunity for on-the job experience to build upon skills acquired at school and enhance their employability."

Graduates who have taken the following disciplines are notified of open opportunities at the various Support Services department:

Finance/Accounting, Economics/Statistics, Supply Chain Management, Human Resource, Marketing /Communications, Library & Information Science, Records Management, ICT, Hospitality, Security/Criminology, Project Management, Chemistry/Analytical/Industrial Chemistry, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Counselling Psychology, Disaster Management.

Interested applicants are required to meet the following requirements:

  1. Be a Kenyan Citizen aged between 20 and 35 years.
  2. Must have graduated with a First degree (undergraduate) or diploma from a recognized institution between January 2021 and December 2021.
  3. Must be available full-time for the twelve months duration of the program.
  4. Should not have undertaken any other internship or exposed to work experience in their area of specialization after graduation.

Applicants are notified that they must make applications online after successfully registering at the KRA e-recruitment portal, with people living with disabilities encouraged to apply.

They are urged to ensure they submit before or on Sunday, November 21, and no incomplete applications will be accepted.

NB: Once selected, candidates will be required to submit proof of a valid Personal Accident Insurance Cover, Certificate of Good Conduct, Copies of KRA PIN Certificate, NHIF, NSSF, ID card, and Bank Account Details.
