Twitter CEO Elon Musk has announced that Twitter handles engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying “parody” will be permanently suspended.

In a statement via Twitter on Monday, November 7, Musk disclosed that the Twitter handles would be banned without a warning as has been before. 

Musk also stated that it would be part of the conditions as the company rolls out the new Twitter verification procedure. 

"Going forward, any Twitter handles engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying “parody” will be permanently suspended. 

"Previously, we issued a warning before suspension, but now that we are rolling out widespread verification, there will be no warning. This will be clearly identified as a condition for signing up to Twitter Blue," part of the statement read. 

Musk added," Any name change at all will cause temporary loss of verified checkmark."
