  • Hamo stepped down from his role at Hot 96 after an internal memo banning employees from running campaigns or appearing on billboards for clients.

Comedian Professor Hamo has shared some encouraging words after leaving Royal Media Services (RMS) and following a tough two weeks in his personal life.

The comedian noted that challenges are a part of life and sounded optimistic about his next chapter.

“Greatness comes not when things always go good for you. But it comes when you are really tested when you take some knocks, some disappointments when sadness comes," Hamo shared.

“Because only if you have been in the deepest valley can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain,” he continued.

The last two weeks have been challenging for the comedian after he was accused of being an absent father and then leaving his job at Hot96.

A source at the media house intimated to our news desk that the comedian left the radio station.

The source disclosed that Hamo stepped down from his role at Hot 96 after an internal memo banning employees from running campaigns or appearing on billboards for clients.

Before that, he had demanded a DNA test from fellow comedian Jemutai who had accused him of being a deadbeat father to their two children.

"DNA results are out. 99.9%," Jemutai shared on her Facebook page, indicating that Prof Hamo is the father of her children.

Jemutai accused Prof Hamo of being a deadbeat father. She claimed that he had refused to support her in raising her children, despite being the father.

Hamo, however, dismissed the accusations, stating that he has never failed to support his children, even those he has sired out of wedlock.
