  • South African based businesswoman Zari Hassan has landed an ambassadorial role with the Tanzanian government.

Businesswoman Zari Hassan has been appointed Tourism Ambassador by the Tanzanian government.

In a statement, Zari thanked the TZ government for the role and promised to deliver as expected adding that she considers herself to be Tanzanian.

The mother of five was invited to the Tanzanian Parliament where she was introduced as the Ambassador for Tourism.

"Today I got the honourable opportunity to attend a session in the United Republic of Tanzania Parliament where I was introduced as the Ambassador for Tourism," Zari said.

"I am very happy to do the thing I love and bring big changes in order to build the economy of Africa and today I am in Tanzania. Thank You very much Dr Tulia Akson (Deputy Speaker), Honorable MPs and the Minister for Tourism," she added.

 Zari Hassan is in Tanzania with her two children Tiffah and Nillan for a charity event that saw her distribute sanitary towels to school-going girls.

The South African based businesswoman visited several schools in Tanzania, giving free sanitary pads.
