Jalang'o is contesting for the Langata parliamentary seat and he is expected to resign from the media station as required by the law.

Radio Africa's Kiss FM has revealed possible replacements for radio presenter Felix Oduor, alias Jalang'o ahead of his departure to focus on politics.

Jalang'o is contesting for the Langata parliamentary seat and he is expected to resign from the media station as required by the law.

Among possible replacements for Jalang'o is comedian Sande Bush, alias Dr. Ofweneke who hosted his first show alongside Kamene Goro and the latter today, Tuesday, January 25.

Through his Instagram page, the comic who doubles up as as talk show host disclosed that he would be on the show all through the week.

"Tommorrow (Tuesday), Wednesday, Thursday and Friday I will be co-hosting breaksfast alongside my fam Kamene Goro and Jalang'o only on Kiss100. Halla then," Dr Ofweneke wrote.

In an interview with content creator Nicholas Kioko, Jalang'o disclosed that there is an ongoing audition and comedian Oga Obinna will also get a chance to host the show.

"Si umeona auditions zimeanza, Dr Ofweneke ameanza, Obinna atakuja na macomedians tu... Untill wapate mtu atanireplace," Jalang'o said.

This new development comes barely a week after Jalang’o hinted at quitting media in a series of posts on his social media platforms.

The comic stated that he is about to hang his boots but before he could do so, he wants to pass the baton to the next ‘Jalang’o’.

“We are about to hang up the boots and take a new challenge. But we can’t just drop the mic… I need to pass it to the next Jalang’o,” reads part of his message.

Speaking in a previous episode on his Bonga Na Jalas YouTube series, Jalang’o said he will be tendering in his resignation letter on February 9, 2022.

“Get ready to replace me when I leave Kiss. I will be leaving on Wednesday, February 9, 2022,” Jalang’o told MCA Tricky.
