Journalist Larry Madowo announced that he has landed a new role at the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC.

The Kenyan journalist announced that he was back on air as an anchor for BBC.

"I am anchoring BBC World News America for the first time today. It’s a busy show for a busy world," Madowo tweeted.

During the divided USA election, Madowo worked as a US National Correspondent for BBC World News.

A year ago, Madowo announced that he is taking a break from BBC, just over a year since joining the international broadcaster.

While working as BBC Africa business editor based in Kenya, Madowo in July last year took one-year sabbatical to study economics at Columbia University, in New York.

Madowo resigned his Africa Business Editor position to take up a new role as United States (US) correspondent for the broadcaster.
