Football star Victor Wanyama has taken legal action against blogger Arthur Mandela alias Xtiandela and socialite Shalika over what he termed as defamation of his character.
A statement issued by Wanyama on Tuesday dismissed claims by the socialite, who had claimed having had sexual relations with the footballer and other celebrities.
Wanyama termed the claims by the socialite as false and fabricated adding that he had never met either Xtiandela or Shakila before.
"I wish to distance myself completely from the contents of this defamatory video. The allegations made therein are a total fabrication and a figment of the maker's imagination at best," the Montreal Impact player stated.

"... with the blessing of my management team, I have instructed my legal team to pursue all legal remedies available to me and to which I have the unreserved right to seek," the statement continued.
Wanyama further noted that the video which was published on Instagram was unacceptable to him, his family and institutions that he represents.
"Such malicious, scandalizing and false assertions about my name and character are UNACCEPTABLE to me, my family and institutions who have placed great trust in me,” he stated.
