Former K24 Sports news anchor Caren Kibbett has finally landed a new job with state broadcaster, Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC).

The sassy news anchor announced details of her new job via her Instagram page stating that she is excited to be back on the screens.

Ms Kibbett will be taking up the role of a Sports News Anchor at the country's first Television channel every Monday to Friday at 9PM.

"I’M BACK!!!!!!! MY NEW HOME ???? @kbc_television ♥️ See you tonight for the latest in the World Of Sports... ♥️♥️♥️ #MarakwetExpress #SportsMyWorld," she captioned one post.

She now joins the likes of Shiksha Arora, Nancy Onyancha, Fred Indimuli and Ahmed Juma Bhalo who recently joined KBC, months after they were all shown the door by K24.

K24 had a mass layoff of its employees in 2020 citing tough economic times that had been brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Prior to joining the state broadcaster, Ms Kibbett has been hosting a show called Inside Sport on YouTube.

A few weeks ago, KBC re-launched unveiling a new look and a new team of presenters and news anchors who included veterans and young turks.

They included; Tom Mboya, Cynthia Nyamai and the legendary Catherine Kasavuli and Harith Salim among others.
