Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has mocked Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua and his ex-wife Lilian Nganga after they 're-united' at the county boss' birthday party held in Nairobi on Sunday.

Governor Mutua hosted a double birthday party at Emara Hotel Ole Sereni alongside Tanzanian musician Rayvanny.

The party was attended by close family and friends including Lilian Nganga who recently announced his separation with Governor Mutua.

Other notable guests at the event included; ODM Leader Raila Odinga, comedian Daniel Ndambuki alias Churchill and several media personalities among others.

From photos shared online, Governor Mutua and his ex-wife can be seen having a good time though they are no longer together.

The birthday party photos elicited massive reactions with netizens wishing Governor Mutua well as he turned a year older.

Among the many Kenyans who commented on the Governor Mutua’s birthday was Sonko. Unlike others who praised Mutua and Lilian for showing maturity despite their separation, Sonko chose to mock the two.

“How many of you can attend your former lover's birthday party? Oneni sasa Lilian the former Machaa's 1st lady ameenda kwa birthday ya ex wake. Happy birthday Kavaluku hope kutakuwa na extention mpaka chee Mavi ya kale hayanuki,” he posted.

In another post, Sonko wondered what would happen after the party, questioning whether the two would go separate ways now that they have separated.

“Birthday iko karibu Kwisha. Kila mtu ataenda kivyake ama what will be next yoooo? Mbona hii mkono moja ya Mutua sioni inaeza kuwa wapi?” he posed.

Governor Mutua and Lilian recently announced their separation, but vowed to remain friends and support each other.
