  • The drama between Marine and Eric began early in the week when Maribe blasted Omondi accusing him of being a deadbeat father.

Ex-Citizen TV news anchor and reporter Jacque Maribe has issued her final statement on the bitter exchange with baby daddy and comedian Eric Omondi.

In her statement, Maribe said that she wants to be left alone, admitting that both her and Eric might have overreacted.

She insisted that each one of them will stick to their truth as she called for respect to their child.

Maribe said that she wants the story to end, because she cannot take it anymore.

"This is the last statement I'll make over this never ending story. I want to be left alone. We over reacted. We might have been overwhelmed. Each one of us will own our truths. There's a child involved so let's respect him. I can't do this anymore. Tuwache tu," she said.

The two, had their child while they worked at Radio Africa Group but kept it a secret for many years, until 2019 when they made it public.

The drama between Marine and Eric began early in the week when Maribe blasted Omondi accusing him of being a deadbeat father.

However, Eric responded quickly, stating that Maribe denied him a paternity test to prove that the child was his for seven years.

"Roughly four months after the baby was born, Jacque called me and asked me if I would help or be part of the baby's life. I asked her for a DNA test to comfortably be part of the baby's life and support him fully.

"She got very offended and Refused my request. For 7 seven years, I have begged Jacque to allow us to have a DNA test, and she has continually refused!" Omondi shared.
