Deputy President William Ruto's eldest son, Nick Ruto on Saturday, January 15 held a traditional pre-wedding ceremony in Karen, Nairobi.   

The traditional ceremony known as koito in Kalenjin is a wedding ritual that involves dowry negotiations and it is held before the white wedding. 

Invited friends and family gathered at Windy Ridge in Karen as Nick legitimised his relationship with his long-term fiancé, Evelyn Chemutai. 

Nick wore a white outfit that had a touch of Ankara and a matching hat while his friends; including his younger brother George Ruto wore blue Ankara outfits with a brown hat.  

On the other hand, Rachel rocked a puffed-sleeved purple kitenge with a matching fascinator while DP Ruto donned a purple-print shirt, a pair of black trousers and a black hat.
