The Kalasha Awards 2020 nominees were unveiled on Wednesday by the Kenya Film Commission with titles on Maisha Magic East and Maisha Magic Plus, which also air on Showmax, leading with 14 nominations.
Margaret Mathore, who is the Maisha Magic Head of Channel, said the nominations were a testament to the brand's strategy to develop independence of the Kenyan film.
“We are living up to the brand’s promise of being truly Kenyan, and also living up to our deliberate strategy to develop, improve and invest in the independent film industry in Kenya," Mathore stated.
She also thanked Kenyans for the continued support of watching the shows.
