Editor's Review

In total, all content on Showmax scored a record-breaking 51 nominations, the highest-ever in history.

Showmax has earned 23 nominations at the Kalasha Awards 2022 unveiled on Thursday, November 10, by the Kenyan Film Commission, a major boost from 2021 where Showmax Originals and exclusive titles scored 6 nominations.

This the highest achievement at the Kalasha Awards yet for Showmax, which launched its first Original title in Kenya (Crime and Justice) in March 2021 (with season 2 premiering in February 2022), and has since released five local Original titles that include the coming-of-age film Baba Twins, the drama series Single Kiasi, the thriller series Igiza and the ongoing political thriller series County 49.

Here is the full Kalasha Awards 2022 nomination list of Showmax Originals, exclusives and all Maisha Magic titles available on Showmax.
