Nominated Member of Parliament David Ole Sankok and wife Hellen, treated their parents to a trip of Kenya's Coast.

Nominated Member of Parliament David Ole Sankok recently took his parents and in-laws on a trip of Kenya's Coast region as a show of gratitude.

The legislator flew his mother and father in-law, his mother and father, along with his wife Hellen and family to Mombasa where they enjoyed themselves, while visiting historic sites in the County.

According to the images shared on his social media account on June 13, 2021, Sankok's parents visited the beach, the historic Fort Jesus, and also spent quality time in one of the region's high end hotels.

Speaking to NairobiLeo.co.ke, the MP revealed that his parents were ecstatic and thrilled by the gesture.

"It was the best and they are happy. I count myself lucky to have met my 4 parents alive," he said, describing the time they enjoyed together.

The vocal MP challenged members of the public to reciprocate the sweat and tears parents across the country put into raising them into the people they have become.

"When you were in primary or high school, You asked for money for a trip. The school had organized a trip to a place your parents had never dreamt of visiting. Your parents sold their only bull, went with one meal a day, wore one pair of Akala for years, walked around with tattered clothes, to save money not only for your school fees but also for a trip to a destination they only hear about.

"Your parents paid your school fees, trip money and pocket money through sweat and blood," he said.

"Now that you have a job, now that you are an adult surrounded by friends who are there for your money, now that you are economically endowed, now that you have extra coins to spend on alcohol and earthly possessions.

"What have done to reciprocate the trips you enjoyed in school? What have done just to say thank you?" Sankok posed.

The MP revealed that as an expression of gratitude for raising him, he has taken his parents on trips to places like Parliament, Nakuru, Coast Kenya, and the Maasai Mara game reserve.
