She is the daughter of Abel Mutua and Judy Nyawira popularly known as Mkurugenzi and Bi Mkuru. Mumbus mainly features in her mum's videos where they have a segment called Mummy-Daughter conversation where they delve into matters of parenting, education, and issues affecting teenagers.

Being raised by parents who are renowned content creators, Mumbus has picked the art well and looks like a natural in all her videos.

In a past interview, her mum divulged that she pays Mumbus a percentage of what they earn in every video she features.

She also noted that she's opened a savings account where she deposits another percentage of what they earn together.
