Catherine Igathe is an established Kenyan technocrat with over 24 years experience most of which have been at the helm of leading local and international organisations.
She is the wife to former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Polycarp Igathe, who's also a distinguished business executive.
Together, they are blessed with three children, one boy and two girls.

Education
Not much is known of her early life, however, according to her LinkedIn profile, she attended the United States International University (USIU) where she attained a Bachelor’s degree in International Business Administration.

She has also undertook several executive management and leadership programs including Advanced Management Program at Strathmore Business School, Lagos Business School, IESE Business School (Spain) & Gordon Institute of Business Science - University of Pretoria, South Africa.
Career
Catherine Igathe has served in some of the leading insurance companies in the country such as AIG Kenya which she joined in 2002.
At AIG, she served for 17 years in different capacities, with the climax being her appointment as Managing Director in 2015.
She was at the helm of the organisation for four years, before departing for Jubilee General Insurance Company in 2019 following her appointment as Chief Executive Officer.
She served at Jubilee General Insurance Company until 2021 when she called it quits. She is currently the Managing Director and Founder at Ortus Solutions Group, a consultancy firm that focuses on leadership, strategy, and governance.
Catherine is also a board member at Centum Investment Company Ltd and Genafrica Asset Managers.
