Kipembe began his journey to riches after he opened a car wash in South B immediately after completing his university studies. The business grew with time and he expanded by opening several other car washes in different parts of Nairobi.

Seeing the success of the car wash business, the businessman opened a salvage yard called Rodgers Place in South B. The yard sits in a one-acre piece of land and accommodates over 200 wrecked salvage vehicles.

To expand on the business, he opened several garages in different parts of Nairobi.
