Deputy President William Ruto and his wife Rachel Ruto shared a touching message to Kenyans and especially healthcare workers during ahead of Christmas.

Mrs Ruto asked Kenyans to remember those in need and extend compassion and solidarity their way.

On his side, DP Ruto said: "Against the backdrop of a ravaging Covid-19 pandemic let us especially remember with gratitude our frontline health workers who everyday go far beyond the call of their vocation and who have shown phenomenal selflessness in the face of unprecedented tragedy.

He continued: "It is our duty to let them know we appreciate their work, their sacrifice and that we stand we them supporting them and praying for them every day."

Christmas Message

Mama Rachel Ruto extended words of comfort to everyone who has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic which has killed 1,648 people in Kenya and infected 95,195 others since March 2020.

"We also have a solemn obligation to extend words of comfort, material and moral support to all people who have lost loved ones to the Covid-19 pandemic and to all who are affected in many varied ways," Mrs Ruto said.
