Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe confirmed 69 new Covid-19 cases from a sample size of 1,987.
The Monday, December 28, 2020, cases brought the total number of infections in the country to 95,992.
In a statement, the Ministry of Health said the death toll has risen to 1,664 after six more patients succumb to the virus.
According to MoH, 98 patients were discharged after making full recovery. 21 were released from various hospitals and 77 from the home-based care program raising the total number to 77,521.
