Kenya on Tuesday recorded 147 people positive coronavirus cases from a sample size of 3,043 tested in the last 24 hours.

This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 96,139 and the cumulative tests now stand at 1,038,352.

From the 147 cases, 137 are Kenyans while 10 are foreigners. 115 are males and 32 are females. In terms of age, the youngest is a one-year-old child while the oldest is 92.

In a statement, the Ministry of Health confirmed 138 patients have recovered from the disease, 126 being from the Home-Based Care Program, while 12 have been discharged from various hospitals.

This brings the total number of recoveries to 77,659.

MoH reported that one patient has succumbed to the disease bringing the combined number of fatalities to 1,665.
