Nyamira Governor Amos Nyaribo on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, fired all County Executives (County Cabinet Secretaries) hours after he was inaugurated as the new county boss.
Governor Nyaribo directed all the County Executive Committee Members to handover immediately.
Cracking the whip on the CECs was his first major role as Nyamira Governor.
There had been claims of bad blood between Nyaribo and the CECs who reportedly undermined his authority.

The sack means that Nyaribo is keen to work with a team that will help him achieve his promises to Nyamira people.
Nyaribo’s inauguration ceremony took place at the Nyamira Primary school in Nyamira town on Tuesday.
Devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa, Council of Governors Chairman, and Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya were some of the top leaders who graced Nyaribo’s inauguration.
Speaking during the event, CS Wamalwa assured Nyaribo of the government’s support, adding that he should work tirelessly to ensure the promises Nyagarama made to Nyamira residents are fulfilled.
"We have very high expectations from you as much as the people of Nyamira are concerned. We hope you will strive and attain the goals that had not been achieved before in the county," Wamalwa said.
