A pastor in Ndia Constituency, Kirinyaga County pleaded guilty to defiling and impregnating his two teenage daughters.

The accused, 51, admitted the offence on Tuesday before Senior Principal Magistrate Antony Mwicigi at the Baricho Law Courts.

He was remanded until Thursday, January 7, 2021, to allow the prosecution to get the girls’ birth certificates to establish their age.

According to the charge sheet, the suspect is believed to have committed the first offence on diverse dates between 1st to 30th of June, 2019.

The second offence was committed between 1st to 31st of August, 2020 in Kianyakiru village in Ndia Constituency.

Kirinyaga West Deputy County Commissioner, Moses Ivuto, stated that the suspect vanished in early December 2020 after his relatives reported the matter to the police.
