  • The Senator believes wrangling Jubilee house leaders is an indication for ineffective leadership.
  • The fallout has emanated from a controversial letter to President Uhuru on BBI.

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkoment has once again hit out at President Uhuru Kenyatta for his effectiveness to lead.

His sentiment comes following the controversy surrounding Senate majority Whip Irungu Kang’ata’s letter to President Uhuru indicating that the BBI Bill was going to flop in the Mount Kenya region.

Following the letter, Kang’ata has been criticized by National Assembly Majority Leader Amos Kimunya, who stated that the Murang’a senator’s letter had hidden agenda.

However, according to Murkomen, it is ironic for Kimunya to hit out at Kang’ata and side with President Uhuru despite criticizing the Head of State before.

Through a tweet, Murkomen notes that fighting between Kimunya and Kang’ata indicates an ineffective leader.

“Hon.Amos Kimunya, ML-NA has criticized President’s SGR project to Naivasha calling it SGR to nowhere. He has also faulted the President for poorly thought out electricity projects. Kang’ata&Kimunya’s behavior can only signal one thing - The President is slowly becoming a Lame duck.

Following the controversial letter, a section of leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto has stated the BBI report is destined to fail across the country.

The faction argues the BBI does not address the immediate needs of Kenyans. However, BBI proponents have maintained that the Bill will sail through.

Interestingly, some BBI backers welcomed Kang’ata’s letter stating it was honest as it raised key issues that need to be addressed.
