The mother to Kibra MP Imran Okoth has passed on. Angeline Ajwang' died last night.
The Kibra legislator made the announcement via his social media pages.
"In life, we loved you dearly, in death we still love you. In our hearts you hold a place, I cried endlessly when you died but I promise, I won't let the tears mar the smiles that you've given me when you were alive. I know you are listening from above. Fare thee well mum," Imran tweeted.

Condolence messages from leaders and the public have been pouring in.
“A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take.” —Cardinal Mermillod. Pole sana Hon. @ImranOkoth, MP, Kibra for the loss of your beloved mother last night. May God grant you and family fortitude to bear the loss of a matriarch," ODM tweeted.
Angeline is also the mother to celebrated late Kibra MP Ken Okoth who succumbed to colorectal cancer in 2019.
