In his congratulation message, President Kenyatta noted that Museveni's win is a testimony of the confidence the people of Uganda have in him and his leadership. 

President Uhuru Kenyatta’s message of congratulation to his Ugandan counterpart Yoweri Museveni has been flagged by Facebook.

Through the State House Kenya Facebook page, President Kenyatta had put up a post sending a message of goodwill to Museveni and the Ugandan people.

In his congratulation message, President Kenyatta noted that Museveni's win is a testimony of the confidence the people of Uganda have in him and his leadership.

He further noted that Kenya is committed to working with Uganda in all possible spheres.

According to President Kenyatta, Uganda has achieved a lot stability and growth during Museveni’s reign.

President Kenyatta’s message was flagged after independent fact checker Pesa Check that works with Facebook, flagged some of the information in the post as false.


After being flagged, the post was deleted from all social media platforms. State House is yet tom issue a statement on the same .


Meanwhile, Amani National Congress Leader Musalia Mudavadi on Saturday night was mercilessly attacked by netizens after he sent a congratulation message to Museveni.

A section of tweeps accused Mudavadi of supporting a dictator considering that the election was marred by violence and intimidation by the State.
