  • Kalonzo nows wants Ruto to visit the DCI.

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkoment has explained the apparent reason why Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka visited the DCI offices on Friday morning.

Kalonzo presented himself to the DCI over the ownership of controversial land in Yatta.

Kalonzo was accused by Deputy President William Ruto of grabbing the 200-acre government land meant for NYS. He visited the DCI to prove ownership of the land.

However, according to Murkomen, the move to visit the DCI instead of EACC was for ‘dry cleaning’.

Murkoment noted that Kalono understands the EACC handles such matters and presenting himself to DCI was questionable.

“So Kalonzo Musyoka is a real SUSPECT? If he is a corruption suspect why did he chose to go to DCI and not EACC which has the specialized mandate on matters of corruption? Can a suspect chose his investigator? The reason why he went to see Kinoti is simple- DRY CLEANING.IGNORE!,” said Murkomen.

Other leaders are calling Kalonzo move attention-seeking considering that the issue was minor.

“Why is Kalonzo trying to create a mountain out of a molehill? Attention seeking antics to distract the country from a more useful agenda,” tweeted political analysts David Makali.

Kalonzo said Ruto should follow suit and present himself before the same authorities for scrutiny.
