Milimani Law Courts will be closed on Friday and Saturday, according to the Registrar of the High Court of Kenya.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Registrar announced the plans to disinfect the Milimani Law Courts as a measure to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The move is part of the ongoing measures to ensure the safety of court users.

Kenya is seeing a decline in coronavirus cases reported in the country with over 1 million tests conducted since the first case was reported in March 2020.

The highest daily infections tally of 1,554 was recorded on Nov. 27, and the number of cases is falling since then.

The government ordered 24 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine from Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, according to DG Patrick Amoth.
