Millicent Omanga breaks her silence following Jubilee's decision to expel her from the party

Millicent Omanga has addressed Jubilee's decision to expel her from the party with immediate effect.

On Monday evening, Jubilee Party Secretary-General Raphael Tuju announced the expulsion of six nominated senators from the party, Omanga being one of them on grounds of disciplinary violations.

The rest of the nominated senators who were expelled include Mwaura Isaac, Mary Yiane, Waqo Naomi, Jilo Prengei Victor, and Iman Falhada Dekow.

Taking to Twitter, Omanga claimed that she had not received official communication from the Jubilee party.

She also appeared defiant stating that she was 'going nowhere'.

"I've not received official communication from Jubilee party on my purported expulsion, and 5 other colleagues, from the party. Just seen it on the media. Assume it's true, it's a stark reminder of the desperation of those who've held the party hostage. We're going nowhere!" Millicent's tweet reads.

The decision to expel the six nominated senators comes hours after the Jubilee Party announced a parliamentary group meeting that will be held on Tuesday at Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) from 10 am.
