Deputy President William Ruto was on Sunday shouted down by building bridges initiative (BBI) supporters in Ol Kalou, Nyandarua County.

DP Ruto attended a Sunday service at Africa Inland Church (AIC) Engineer, Kinangop Constituency before interacting with the residents in the County.

During his stop at Ol Kalou, DP Ruto encountered rowdy youth who chanted BBI as he tried to address the gathering.

“We want the BBI, not stories. We want roads and water, not wheelbarrows. Respect our leaders,” a section of the crowd shouted.

As the Deputy president tried to speak, the crowd could hear none of it and kept chanting BBI.

"We have laid a solid foundation for the economic transformation of our country through the expansion and modernisation of our infrastructure.

"Our focus now is the shifting of our economic model and investing in projects that create jobs and generate income for the millions of the ordinary Kenyans," DP Ruto said during his visit in Nyandarua County,
