Bahati Member of Parliament Kimani Ngunjiri has claimed his life in danger.

Speaking on Saturday in Nakuru, the outspoken legislator appealed to the media to help stop his planned assassination.

While addressing supporters, Ngunjiri stated that he has been receiving death threats over his political stance to support Deputy President William Ruto.

The lawmaker noted that he has already reported the matter to authorities, who gave him a letter acknowledging the report.

During his address, Ngunjiri flashed the letter and called on the media personnel present to take a clear look and note the phone numbers that have been threatening him.

The lawmaker stated that should something happen to him, the contacts listed on the letter should be held responsible.

The lawmaker claimed that other Tangatanga lawmakers are also on an alleged assassination list.

“They have planned and have a list to kill us. I have the letter here. I have reported the matter to the police, and I want the media to take a look at this letter,” said Ngunjiri.

The leader was accompanied by over ten Ruto allies to campaign for the UDA candidate for the London Ward mini election.

On Saturday, morning there were running battles between the police and the leaders to stop the campaign rally.

The scuffle led to the arrest of Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika.

However, by press time, the leaders had been allowed to carry out the campaign rally.

Leaders present implored the Kalenjin community to rally behind the party’s UDA candidate Antony Nzuki Wachira saying his win would be the win beneath DP Ruto’s presidential aspiration wings.
