Kenya's national career Kenya airways has finally responded to a request by senior counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi seeking to buy one of their planes.

In a tweet earlier this week, Ahmednasir ridiculed KQ for making a Sh36 Billion loss and offered to purchase one of their planes.

According to the Senior Counsel, the current status of the airline means that purchasing one of its aircraft will be cheaper than purchasing a Bentley.

"@KenyaAirways made a loss of Kshs 36 billion. Can I purchase one of their Embraer 190... I'm sure it's cheaper than a Bentley Bentayga," he tweeted.

Speaking during an interview on JKL Wednesday night, KQ Chairman Michael Joseph responded to Ahmednasir daring him to "be his guest".

According to Michael Joseph, maintaining a plane is not the same as maintaining a car.

"If he wants to buy it, let him be my guest, he won't be able to drive it..." Michal Joseph said in part.

On the status of the airline, Michael Joseph said he is concerned, but also hopeful that things will get better once covid is fully dealt with.

“If you took the impact of COVID away, which we hope will be going away during this year, then definitely there must be hope…”

"There is not a night that I do not wake up at 2 or 3 o’clock in the morning worrying about Kenya Airways," he said
