Irate netizens called out the MP as being petty, advising that he should instead focus on launching developmental projects.

"You'll be surprised that the unveiling ceremony cost 3 times the price of the TV," a tweep stated.

One netizen, who alleges to be a student at Moi University-Main Campus, asked the MP to divert his energy to tarmacking the Cheptiret-Moi University Road which has been under repair for about two years.

In 2017, prior to that year's general election, Mishra, while campaigning promised to buy TVs for each household in his constituency.

A section of netizens argued that the MP's launch might have been a way to prove he was fulfilling his promise.
