Education CS George Magoha has said the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education exams marking exercise is 35 percent done.

On Monday Magoha said all measures have been put in place to ensure results are released on time.

He was speaking in Murang'a county as he supervised the opening of examination containers for the ongoing KCSE exams.

Prof Magoha asked centre managers to ensure they use school buses to collect and drop exams from containers as he warned against the use of private vehicles or motorcycles

KCPE candidates will get form one placement in July 2021 in line with the government’s 100 percent transition policy.

All Candidates To Join Form 1

This was announced by Early Learning and Basic Education Principal Secretary Dr. Julius Jwan who noted that admitting all candidates to secondary schools was in line with Article 53(1) (b) of the Constitution.

The PS said the Education Ministry has developed water-tight criteria to ensure the form one placement process was objective and transparent.

Dr. Jwan called on parents to ensure the safety of candidates amidst the Covid-19 pandemic ahead of their expected admission to Form One in June this year.

KCPE examinations were postponed from November last year following the prolonged closure of schools ordered by President Uhuru Kenyatta on March 14th after the first case of the deadly virus was reported in the Country.
