Nairobi Politician Ibrahim Johnny Ahmed has died.

Reports indicate that the former Kamukunji Parliamentary aspirant died on the morning of Friday, April 9, 2021, after he fell down.

As the time of publishing it was yet to be clear as to what might have led to the death of the vibrant politician.

Johnny was also the Deputy Secretary-General of the Jamia Mosque in Nairobi.


Members of the public and politicians alike have sent outpouring condolence messages to the friends and family of the late politician.

Ahmed Mohamed alias Amali took to social media to describe the deceased as an astute and devoted leader.

"A good Muslim. A community leader. A brother. My friend. My Allah grant Ibrahim Ahmed (Johnny) Jannah. We spoke 2 days ago. He was doing very well. His usual positive vibe. Inalilahi Waina Ilahi Rajiun. We lost an amazing human being not only in Eastleigh but across the world," Asmali condoled.

"Terribly heart broken by the sad news of my brother 's demise. We share a WhatsApp group where our friend was active up till 9.30pm or so. Didn't know he may have been unwell. Always very active, frank in expressing self, friendly. May your Soul find Peace, Ndugu!" Silas Jakakimba stated

East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) Member of Parliament Simon Mbugua alleged that Johnny may have died from complications brought about by the Sputnik V Covid-19 vaccine he took recently.

NairobiLeo.co.ke was, however, not able to ascertain the truth of these allegations.

Johnny will be laid to rest later today (Friday 9) in line with the Islam tradition.
