It is now emerging either DP William Ruto is persuing Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana or the professor is simply too willing to resist the second in command ahead of the 2022 general elections.
The Makueni Governor on Sunday joined Deputy President William Ruto and a host of members of parliament at the AIC Ziwani, Nairobi where he opened up on a possible partnership.
Kibwana has received massive endorsements from members of the public to go for the presidency in 2022 pitting him agaisnt Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka's influence in Ukambani.
At the installation service of A.I.C Nairobi area Bishop Rev. Joshua Nzau Kimuyu, Kibwana expressed his willingness to work with Deputy President William Ruto. He went further to disclose that there were attempts to block him from working with the DP.
Kibwana's remarks at the event could now open doors for Ruto to once again ride on the church to make further inroads in Ukambani.
Kibwana likened his good relationship with the church to that of DP Ruto,a man appearing to be in very good books with religiours leaders, urging Rev. Kimuyu to invite DP Ruto to an upcoming event fo r the church in Makueni.
"I am open to talks with any leaders that will invite me to do that. There are people saying we should not move closer to him (Dp Ruto) but I am ready to work with any leader that is after development of a peaceful nation," stated Kibwana.
He asked the church leadership to invite DP Ruto to Makueni. Ruto has been working closely with former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama and a good number of MPs in the larger Eastern region.
