Kenyan football legend Dennis Oliech has revealed that he spent millions to cover treatment costs for his late mum Mary Auma Oliech and brother Kevin Opiyo Oliech.

In an interview with Mozzrtbet Sports, Oliech said he had to fork out Ksh124 million over his family's treatment.

The Kenyan international and 2002 CECAFA cup golden boot winner said he had to sell his properties to foot those bills.

"I spent Ksh40 million on my mother's treatment and Kevin it cost around Sh84 million. There is no way you have assets and your brother is in the hospital, what will you do with those assets? he posed.

When the video surfaced on Twitter, Kenyans took time to give flowers to the football legend for his dedication to his family and service to the country.

In August 2020, Kevin Oliech who was a Former Harambee Stars forward passed on in Germany where he was undergoing treatment for cancer.

Their mother died in 2018. The late Auma was also popular in her own right and was well known for her finger-licking food at the well-known ‘Mama Oliech’ restaurant which she managed.
