  • Former MP's wife moves to court to block the burial of his second wife.

Agnes Mueni, estranged wife to former Kathiani MP Peter Kaindi has filed a case in court accusing him of bigamy.

She moved to court where she filed a suit to have Kaindi publicly disown marriage to his second wife Judith Ndunge Ngunia who died this month.

Kaindi is accused of marrying another woman who was still legally married to another man.

“Take notice that we have instruction to notify you that the alleged marriage to the said Judith Ndunge Ngunia is and was unlawful and illegal and in fact, you have committed a criminal offence of bigamy,” Mueni application read.

Mueni is seeking to block her husband from burying Judith Ndunge in a plot of land she claims they acquired together.

“I have also learnt he intends to visit Ndunge's parents and perform 'ntheo' so that he can have the right to bury the body. But according to Kaindi, both of Ndunge's parents are dead.

According to the Star, Kaindi was living with Ndunge for the last 15 years before her death last month and he had helped raise her son who is 23 years old that was born before the two met.
