State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena sent a celebratory and special message to Lulu Hassan on Saturday, April 24, 2021.
Dena referred to Hassan as a dear friend before wishing her a happy birthday.
"Thamani ya TUNU sio bei ya mnadani ama madukani. Thamani halisi ya TUNU ipo moyoni... kila kukicha thamani ina panda...LULU wewe ni TUNU.. siku zote, majira yote. Happy birthday Lulu," Dena wrote, which translates to, "The worth of a gift is not its market value, rather what is in the heart. Everyday, the value rises. Lulu you are a gift."
Dena led thousands of Kenyans in passing congratulatory messages to the Citizen TV anchor as she turns a year older today, April 24.
Hassan's birthday comes slightly over a week after her husband's, Rashid Abdallah.

Dena and Lulu enjoy a long friendship, owing to their Coastal Kenya origins and their years working together in the media.
Prior to her appointment to State House, Dena was a Kiswahili news anchor at Citizen TV.
