Senator Susan Kihika has called out President Uhuru Kenyatta for breaking Covid-19 protocols.

Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika has called President Uhuru Kenyatta for allegedly flouting Covid-19 restrictions.

In a statement on April 24, 2021, the vocal senator stated that the meetings held by the Head of State are a clear violation of the government's directives in the fight against Covid-19.

Kihika accused President Kenyatta of impunity.

"So Uhuru bans all political meetings and public gatherings of whatever nature in the 5 counties (Nairobi included). Then hosts a political gathering and posts it on his official page for all to see?" Kihika criticqued.


He sentiments were provoked by a meeting between President Kenyatta and Maa Community leaders led by Environment Cabinet Secretary Kiriako Tobiko yesterday, April 23.

The President and the leaders, who included elders, women, and youth representatives, discussed matters touching on the progress of the Maa Community among them its rich culture.

The leaders thanked the Head of State for the support the community continues to receive from the Government including several development projects in their areas.

President Kenyatta on March 12, banned all forms of political public gatherings in the country. The ban will run till the end of May 2021.

The Head of State directed the police to enforce regulations set by the government, ensuring maximum adherence.
