  • In his new role, Governor Josphat Nanok will be one of the most senior people in DP Ruto's team.

Deputy President William Ruto has announced that he will form an inclusive government if elected Kenya’s next president during the 2022 general election.

Speaking during a meeting with Coast leaders on Saturday, Ruto noted that a team has been formed to ensure all regions in Kenya air the grievances they expect the DP to address if he takes over power.

The regions will compromise the eight former provinces in Kenya and will submit their grievances in form of charters.

According to the DP, Turkana governor Josphat Nanok will be in charge of coordinating the eight regions.

"I would like to a thank Governor Nanok for accepting to coordinate the eight regions to ensure they come up with charters which will be signed for accountability. What we want is to hear from people," Ruto said.

According to the DP, through the charters, his strategy team will unearth dire economic needs of the people in those regions and come up with plans to empower them.

"I have experience in running the government that is why as we prepare to form the next government, we are changing the conversation to discuss what will add value to mwananchi and not who comes from which tribe and who to hold which position," he divulged.

On Saturday, DP Ruto kicked off his two-day tour of the Coast region.

The DP was be accompanied by leaders allied to the Hustler Nation movement as he embarked on selling his economic blue print in the region.

Senators Irungu Kang'ata (Murang'a), Turkana Governor Josephat Nanok and economist David Ndii are among the guest leaders in attendance.
