Kenya has recorded 349 more Covid-19 cases, from a sample size of 4,208 tested in the last 24 hours.

The positivity rate is now at 8.3% with the total number of confirmed positive cases now at 171,084 and cumulative tests so far conducted are 1,815,766.

An additional, 176 patients have recovered with 144 being from the Home-Based and Isolation Care while 32 were discharged from various health facilities.

The total number of recoveries now stands at 117,023 of whom 85,040 are from the Home Based Care and Isolation program, while 31,983 are from various health facilities.

MoH reported that 16 people have succumbed to the disease with all of them being late death reports from facility record audits conducted on diverse dates in the months of April and May.

This pushed the cumulative fatalities to 3,188.

MoH reported that 1,257 patients are currently admitted to various health facilities, while 4,704 patients are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care Program.

Another 92 patients are in the ICU with 21 of whom are on ventilatory support and 54 on supplemental oxygen while 17 patients are under observation.

So far 90 patients are separately on supplemental oxygen with 84 of them in general wards and 6 in High Dependency Units.
