Kenya's Covid-19 deaths have risen by 18 bringing the total number of fatalities to 3,206.

According to the Ministry of Health, the figure includes late death reports from April and May.

On Wednesday the country recorded 142 more Covid-19 cases to reach a total of 171,226 from 2,650 samples tested.

MoH said the total number of recoveries now stands at 117,039 while 1,251 patients are currently admitted at various hospitals.

Sixteen patients have recovered from the disease, with 9 being from various health facilities while 7 are from the Home Based Care and Isolation program.

Another 1,251 patients are currently admitted to various health facilities, while 4,705 patients are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care Program. 92 patients are in the ICU, 21 of whom are on ventilatory support and 54 on supplemental oxygen. 17 patients are under observation.

Ninety patients are separately on supplemental oxygen with 84 of them in general wards and 6 in High Dependency Units.
