The family of Felix Orinda alias DJ Evolve has rubbished claims doing round on social media that the artist is dead.

According to DJ Evolve’s sibling Andrew Orinda, his brother is doing well in the company of his family at their Fedha home.

“God forbid! Those are very dangerous rumours and I can assure you that he is okay. He is even having his lunch,” Orinda told a local publication.

Earlier today, there were reports on social media that DJ Evolve had succumbed to injuries he sustained in January 2020 after he was allegedly shot at by Embakassi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino

Following the shooting incident, Babu Owino was taken in and charged with attempted murder.

He was later released on bail pending the hearing and determination of the case.

DJ Evolve was discharged from hospital in mid-2020 but is yet to fully recover.

Early this year, DJ Evolve’s father created a buzz online after he told the media that his son was really suffering and was always in pain due to the shooting.

His remark created a heated debate online with netizens calling on the government to take action against Babu Owino.

As a way of piling pressure on the relevant authorities, netizens have made it a habit to remind Babu of the shooting every time he posts anything online. Tweeops have also been using the Engage series by the IG to follow up on the matter.
