Learners will text their index numbers to 22263 to know which high schools they have been admitted to.
Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha launched the 2021 Form 1 selection and admission exercise on Tuesday.
The Education CS announcing that all students who sat their KCPE exam will report to school on August 2, 2021.
National schools will admit 36,254 students, special needs schools will admit 1,827, Extra County schools 201,077, County schools 213,591 and 718,516 learners will join sub-county schools.
Candidates who scored 400 marks and above were placed in National or Extra County schools of their choice.

Special Needs learners were placed in the regular schools of their choice, while others were will join special schools based on their disability categories on merit and choice.
“Of the 1,179,192 candidates that sat the 2020 KCPE Examination, 1,171,265 have been placed in secondary schools. This is after excluding inmates, overage candidates, and candidates from refugee camps. Therefore, we have placed all candidates in secondary schools in keeping with our 100% transition policy from primary to secondary education,” Prof Magoha said.
The CS reiterated that the Education ministry will work with the Interior Ministry to ensure all candidates who sat the 2020 KCPE exams will be admitted to secondary schools.
Prof Magoha also warned school heads from turning away students during the admission exercise due to lack of fees but reminded parents to meet their duties.
