TSP Secretary-General Mwenda Makathimo alleged that the incident was perpetrated by "political enemies."

Unknown persons raided the headquarters of The Service Party (TSP) and damaged property reported to be worth over Ksh3 million.

The party is led by former Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri who is a close ally and confidant of Deputy President William Ruto.

TSP Secretary-General Mwenda Makathimo alleged that the incident was perpetrated by "political enemies."

He claimed that the act was meant to derail their agenda of championing for the rights of ordinary Kenyans.

"We hope this country is not being taken back to the days whereby political parties were intimidated to stop them from advancing their agenda or silence them from being the voice of the people," he said.

Makathimo stated that the thugs made away with important documents and office equipment including laptops, printers, hard disks and the party seal.

"The intruders also burnt party registration forms that had recruitment data on them. However, we want to state categorically that whoever is behind this can steal our computers but not our resolve to build the party to serve Kenyans.

"They can steal our seal but not our zeal to move forward, can vandalise our offices but cannot stop our resolve and determination to be the voice of the people," Makathimo stated.

He revealed that police have already launched a probe into the incident.
