Bishop Margaret Wanjiru of the Jesus is Alive Ministries Worldwide has come under sharp criticism after she turned her church premises into a meeting venue for UDA aspirants in Nairobi.

In a tweet on Saturday, Bishop Wanjiru shared photos of the event, stating that over 500 aspirants turned up for the meeting.

“Today we had a very successful meeting with over 500 aspirants drawn from all the 17 Constituencies. We gave them UDA Party booklets to continue registering more people to join our Party. I humbly request for your support and votes so that together we can change Nairobi,” she tweeted.


Bishop Wanjiriis a staunch supporter of the Deputy President and his Hustler Movement brigade. It is believed that she is the party’s leading candidate for the Nairobi gubernatorial race come 2022.

Reacting to Bishop Wanjiru’s meeting, a section of netizens urged her not to mix politics and spiritual matters.
