Narc-Kenya Party Leader Martha Karua has cautioned President
Uhuru Kenyatta and his handshake partner Raila Odinga against releasing the BBI
report in Kisii during the Mashujaa Day celebrations.
In a Tweet on Monday night, Karua noted that releasing the
report during a national day could escalate the division already being
witnessed in the country.
She further noted that instead of pushing for amendment of
the Constitution, the President should start by honoring it and dissolving Parliament
as advised by Chief Justice David Maraga.

BBI report ready
The final BBI report is ready, with some reports indicating
that it could be unveiled at the Mashujaa Day celebrations.
Over the weekend Odinga; a key partner in the BBI process
announced that the BBI rallies will resume this week after President Kenyatta
makes an announcement on the same.
“Counties will receive 35 per cent of the revenue share from the national government, which will enable them to implement more development projects unlike now where a huge chunk of the budget goes to pay salaries. This is why we have resolved to change course in regards to how we play our politics. The country will only realize its dreams by accepting to have a new constitutional order through BBI,” he said in Siaya over the weekend.
