President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday evening visited and wished quick recovery to Kenya Air Force soldiers recuperating at the Kenya Defence Forces Memorial Hospital in Mbagathi, Nairobi County.
This is after a fatal helicopter accident in Magadi on Thursday in Oltepesi, Kajiado West, during training.
"Today at 0900 hrs, an Mi 171e Airforce helicopter on a training mission crash landed at the Ol Tepesi area in Ngong, Kajiado County. Rescue missions are underway," part of KDF statement read.

Ten Kenya Air Force personnel died while 13 others sustained injuries.

Prior to the crash, the helicopter circled in the air for over 20 minutes as those on board scrambled to jump out.
KDF has reached out to the families in accordance with their set protocols.
